FAQs

  • We have a swimming pool that all guests are welcome to use.

  • You may cancel free of charge until 30 days before arrival. You will be charged the total price of the reservation if you cancel in the 30 days before arrival.

    We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance if you are unable to travel.n

  • Breakfast can be served at the estate restaurant, Farm Boy Cuisine.

    Please note however that breakfast is not included in your stay.

  • Unfortunately we can only accommodate late check-in’s in the event of a late arrival flight. Please email us proof of your arrival time to make arrangements in advance.

  • Yes - the opening of our new restaurant Farm Boy Cuisine at Amberg Country Estate took place on 9 August 2024.

    • Opening hours: 09:00 - 18:00.

    • Bookings required for dinner after 18:00.

    • Closed Mondays & Tuesdays.

  • We regret to say that we do not allow any pets on the premises.

    Amberg has 3 dogs: Leni, Nora and Sarah.

What we offer.

  • Kitchens are fully equipped.

  • All cottages include a safe, Wifi and an aircon. Some also include a TV.

  • The estate has a large swimming pool set in rambling, indigenous gardens. 

  • There is a restaurant on the premises where breakfast, lunch and dinner (booking required) can be enjoyed.

  • Guests can enjoy a fynbos mountain hike, rock climbing and bird watching from Amberg with trout fishing, biking and hiking trails nearby.

  • Located just 8km from the centre of Paarl and 60km from Cape Town, the estate is also close to many Wine Routes and the Western Cape Whale Route, and is just a short drive from Stellenbosch, Riebeek Kasteel, Wellington and Franschhoek.

  • Excursions to the nearby Lion Park, Snake Centre, Butterfly World and Crocodile Ranch can be arranged as well as to the surrounding golf courses.
